Dr. Charmaine Emelife
With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Emelife is a highly skilled nephrologist trained at
the University of Nigeria College of Medicine, John H. Stroger Cook County Hospital,
and completed fellowships at Loyola University Medical Center and Hines VA Medical
Center, Maywood, Illinois. She specializes in hypertension, glomerular diseases,
chronic kidney disease, and renal transplant. Dr. Emelife is committed to quality patient
care and engages meaningfully with her patients. She is also involved in clinical drug
trials and global health initiatives. Dr. Emelife is fluent in English and Igbo.
Dr. Khalid Iqbal
Dr. Iqbal brings over 20 years of nephrology experience, with medical training from
Government Medical College, residency at SUNY Buffalo, and fellowships at the
University of Miami and Emory University. He excels in comprehensive kidney disease
and hypertension care and has received recognition for his contributions to patient
safety and quality. Dr. Iqbal has served in key leadership roles, including Chairman of
