Khalid Iqbal, MD

Khalid Iqbal, MD has over 18 years of experience in Nephology.   Dr. Iqbal graduated from the University of Kashmir in India where he was in the top 5% of his class.  He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at the State University of New York and he completed his Fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Miami. Dr. Iqbal followed with a mini-fellowship in Interventional Nephrology at Emory University in Atlanta

Dr. Iqbal is a Board-Certified Nephrologist and has worked in the Atlanta Metro area since 2005. He specializes in all aspects of kidney disease and treats patients in our East Point and Atlanta offices. He is the medical director for several hemodialysis and home dialysis clinics. Dr. Iqbal is on staff at Several Atlanta Metro Hospitals including Wellstar Kennestone, Emory Midtown and Select Atlanta. He has received awards for safety and quality and has also been named as one of Georgia’s Top Docs.

When Dr. Iqbal is not working, he enjoys sports, hiking, and spending time with his family.  He also serves on the board of Kashmel, a not-for-profit medical organization that aims to provide health care to developing countries.
