Biography

Charles B. Hunter, MD, has over seventeen years of experience in nephrology. He was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and attended the nearby Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans. Graduating with honors, Dr. Hunter was accepted into Georgetown University School of Medicine, and four years later, he matched at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Case Western Reserve University. After successful completion of his internal medicine residency, Dr. Hunter decided to specialize in kidney disease and hypertension. He later completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco.

Dr. Hunter is a board certified nephrologist in the Greater Atlanta area since 2003. He specializes in all aspects of kidney disease with special emphasis on hypertension and home dialysis. Dr. Hunter serves as a clinical nephrologist on the medical staff of several Atlanta, Douglasville, and Marietta area Hospitals and is Medical Director for four Atlanta-area dialysis centers. He treats patients at our Douglasville, Atlanta Midtown and Fayetteville locations.

When he is not working, Dr. Hunter enjoys music, reading, travel, and spending time with his family.
